New at GEODAYS 2026

GeoDays, the meeting place for major subsurface contractors

At the heart of the 2026 edition, GEODAYS is reserving a strong and structuring sequence for major clients and clients in the sector. The objective: to give a voice to those who lead projects, set technological needs, finance innovation and draw up the industrial roadmaps for the subsoil of tomorrow .

An afternoon dedicated to major players in the underground sector, to catalyze the collaborations of tomorrow. High-level conferences allow several major players (energy, infrastructure, development, geothermal energy, storage, defense, etc.) to present their vision of future developments:
  • What are their short, medium and long term priorities?
  • What innovations do they expect from technological, academic or industrial sectors?
  • What types of partnerships do they want to build with startups, regions or laboratories?

These speeches will provide an opportunity to better understand the strategic decisions underway, the weak signals observed in the markets, and the emerging opportunities for the entire ecosystem. This will be a key time to align visions and ambitions.

Among the new features for 2026

Euro-Mediterranean Sequence: Crossing perspectives, sharing solutions

This new segment features a meeting between European and North African stakeholders to explore the shared challenges of subsoil in the energy transition. It will be a space for international cooperation, feedback, and the emergence of cross-border partnerships.
A regional ambition, an international opening.

Geosciences Week – 15 to 18 June 2026 in Pau

For the first time, three major Geosciences events will be held during the same week in at the same location:
  1. Mining Day in France, organized by SIM
  2. the GEODAYS, the business convention for subsurface industries, by AVENIA,
  3. A novel event around the theme “Education in Geosciences” jointly hosted by the EFG (European Federation of Geologists) and the SGF (Geological Society of France): LearnGeo: https://learngeo26.eurogeologists.eu/
This joint initiative naturally finds its place in Pau, home to the AVENIA cluster and a recognized hub for trainings and engineering related to the subsurface industries.

It will be a unique week open to all audiences:
  • industry professionals for the GEODAYS,
  • professionals as well as the general public, teachers, and students for the Education in Geosciences event.
Through conferences and debates, field trips and industrial site visits, this week will offer a remarkable opportunity to highlight innovation, business and employment opportunities, and the prominent role of geosciences and the subsurface in the energy and ecological transition.
